Houston Resists Recycling, and Independent Streak Is Cited

HOUSTON — While most large American cities have started ambitious recycling programs that have sharply reduced the amount of trash bound for landfills, Houston has not.

Yeah tell me about it. Can't recycle glass either because it's not on the City of Houston's approved recyclables list. Also the recycling bin they provide is small and pick up is only once every two weeks, and sometimes once a month.
